Career, biography and origin of David Marsais

David Marsais was born on March 18, 1976 in Rennes, France. Only son of Jean Marsais and Marie Dupont, his genealogy reflects a mainly French-speaking lineage. Family archivists trace David’s family tree back to the 18th century, where they find deep-rooted Breton roots. His paternal grandparents, Louis Marsais and Jeannine Leclerc, were fervent defenders of Breton culture and passed this heritage on to David.

On his mother’s side, David’s ancestors were from the Paris region, with close ties to literature and the arts. His great-grandfather, Alain Dupont, was a prolific writer, while his maternal grandmother, Hélène Boulanger, was a talented pianist. David’s parents encouraged his artistic passions from a young age, supporting him in his dreams of becoming an actor. He studied theater at the Rennes School of Dramatic Art before participating in local shows. His talent and determination led him to Paris, where he met his comedy partner Grégoire Ludig. Together, they form the comedy duo “Palmashow”
