Mika Brzezinski is a co-host of ”Morning Joe” and an MSNBC anchor. Brzezinski also reports on ”NBC Nightly News” and is an alternating news anchor for ”Weekend Today.” Mika has developed a reputation as a tough but balanced interviewer not afraid to ask the hard-hitting questions whether she’s speaking with a corporate CEO, a presidential candidate or a tenured politician. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Brzezinski received accolades for her no-holds-barred interviews with John McCain, Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama. Prior to joining MSNBC in January 2007, Brzezinski was an anchor of the ”CBS Evening News Weekend Edition” and a CBS News correspondent who frequently contributed to ”CBS Sunday Morning” and ”60 Minutes.” Brzezinski joined CBS News in 1997 as the anchor of ”CBS News Up To The Minute,” but took a short hiatus in 2000 to co-host MSNBC’s weekday afternoon program ”Homepage.” In September 2001, she returned to CBS to become their principal ”Ground Zero” reporter for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Mika Brzezinski is the co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe and the author of three best-selling books. Her memoir All Things At Once became a New York Times best seller in January 2010. Her second book, Knowing Your Value, which examines the role of women in the workplace, reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for business books in 2011. Her third book, Obsessed: America’s Food Addiction and My Own, debuted on the bestseller list in spring of 2013. In 2015, Mika released Grow Your Value, which is a sequel to Knowing Your Value and explores the intersection between self-fulfillment, family, and career. Most recently, Mika, along with host Joe Scarborough, was inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame.
In 2014, Mika partnered with NBCUniversal to produce events based on Knowing Your Value throughout the country. Mika Brzezinski
Mika Brzezinski is a TV host, author, and political commentator, best known as the co-host and occasional foil to Joe Scarborough on the news and talk program "Morning Joe" (MSNBC, 2007-). Born on May 2, 1967, in New York City, Brzezinski was the daughter of foreign policy advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski and artist Emilie Edvard Benesova. She was raised mostly near Washington DC, and received a degree in English from Williams College in Williamstown, MA. Brzezinski began her career in journalism in 1990, as an assistant at ABC's "World News This Morning." After bouncing around a few affiliate stations in Hartford, CT, she joined CBS as a correspondent.
In 2001, Brzezinski briefly worked on the MSNBC afternoon program "HomePage," where she and co-anchors Gina Gaston and Ashleigh Banfield earned themselves the nickname "the Powerpuff Girls of journalism." She returned to CBS in September of 2001, where she reported from Ground Zero on 9/11 live when the South Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed.
