You probably know her from her dance reality show days or as the face behind the #Rosto and other social change campaigns in Goa. On International Women’s Day, here are excerpts from an unfiltered chat with the bold and fearless Cecille Rodrigues, who has let nothing stop her from chasing her dreams.
As a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I used to admire the police, and growing up, I always wanted to be an inspector so that I could fight crime. I was a very good dancer too.
How did you shape up your career as a dancer/choreographer, and how did that change your life?
Dancing was always a part of my life. I didn’t give it up even after I got married or had a baby. The reality show happened all of a sudden in 2013, and that's when my life changed for the better. My parents were there to support me when I chose to follow my dream. They took care of my son when I wasn't around.
