Catherine Bell is best known for her work as the headstrong Marine Corps attorney Lt. Sarah ‘Mac’ MacKenzie in the action-drama series “JAG” and for her 7-season run as Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Nightingale on the fan-favorite Hallmark Channel Series, “Good Witch.” The series was spun off from a string of highly successful “The Good Witch” Original Movies, including “The Good Witch’s Garden,” “The Good Witch’s Destiny,” “The Good Witch’s Charm,” among others.

On the small screen, Bell starred in the long-running Lifetime series “Army Wives,” where she portrayed Denise Sherwood and she most recently starred in Hallmark’s “Christmas on Cherry Lane” and “The Crate Escape.” Other credits include Lifetime’s “Still Small Voices,” “Last Man Standing,” CBS’ “Company Town,” TNT’s “Good Morning Killer,” as well as guest star roles on “King & Maxwell” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”

Catherine Lisa Bell[2] was born on 14 August 1968[3][4] in London to a Scottish father, Peter Bell, and an Iranian mother, Mina Ezzati.[4] Peter was working as an architect under contract to an oil company in Iran; Mina had travelled to London to study nursing. Bell's parents divorced when Catherine was two years old. She was raised by her mother and maternal grandparents.
