Organic cafe in Rye has options for the health conscious

RYE - Moshira Soliman, owner of The Pureganic Café in Rye, remembers the day she decided to make healthy food her life’s work.

Diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease in her middle age, she was forced to transform her diet overnight.

“I was told I wouldn’t make it to age 40, but look at me now,” said Soliman, now 59.

She is making her first foray into the food industry with the cafe, located at 46 Purchase St. But she said inspiration for the all-vegan menu comes from her 29 years of experience as a private nutritionist.
